ABOUT MARTIN SCHOELLER

Leading German portrait photographer known for his close-up shots. His work has been featured in publications such as National Geographic, Time, and Rolling Stone. Since 2000, he has received numerous awards from the Society of Publication Designers.

He studied photography at Lette-Verein, a training center for applied arts located in Berlin.

He was awarded a gold medal by the Society of Publication Designers for his portrait of Zach Galifianakis . He shares examples of his work on his martinschoeller Instagram account, where he has gained upwards of 290,000 followers.

He and graphic designer Helen Rutman Schoeller tied the knot in 2000.

He has photographed celebrities such as Jay-Z , Clint Eastwood , and Julia Roberts .
