Masoud Behnoud
ABOUT MASOUD BEHNOUD
Iranian investigative journalist and author who has worked in Iran and the United Kingdom. He was also a radio and television producer.
He began his career as a journalist in 1964.
From 1971, he was the chief editor of the daily Ayandegan. It was closed in 1979 on the orders of Iran's Ayatollah Khomeini . He and senior staff were imprisoned.
He and his wife have a son and daughter.
He is one of many famous Iranian journalists who were imprisoned, including Ebrahim Nabavi and Akbar Ganji.
