Rose to fame appearing on the fifth season of the hit MTV reality show Teen Mom OG alongside Amber Portwood .

Prior to his reality debut, he was working on becoming a professional poker player.

He and Amber share a pair of matching tattoos on their wrists. He also got a tattoo of her name on his forearm.

He has nine children from a previous marriage. In November 2014, he proposed to Amber; however, they later called off their engagement before appearing on E!'s Marriage Boot Camp in 2017. Two months after their split he got married to Jennifer Conlon.

He has appeared on Teen Mom OG alongside Amber's daughter Leah Leann Shirley .
