ABOUT MATT EVANS
English-born Canadian rugby union centre and fullback who represented his country at the 2011 Rugby World Cup. That same year, he also won gold for Canada at the Pan American Games in rugby sevens.
His first international experience came with the U20 team at the 2008 IRB Junior World Championship. He joined the senior national team later that year.
He's played domestically with the Newport Gwent Dragons, Newport RFC, and Cornish Pirates.
Although he represents Canada internationally, he was born in Salisbury, England and attended Hartpury College.
He and Jamie Cudmore have played together for the Canadian national team.
