ABOUT MATT GAGE

Southpaw reliever that was originally drafted by the San Francisco Giants during the tenth round of the 2014 Major League Draft. He was later signed by the Toronto Blue Jays in November 2021. He has also pitched in the New York Mets during his professional career.

He is a graduate of Broadalbin-Perth High School. He later enrolled in Sienna College where he played college baseball for four seasons.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Kansas City Royals on June 6, 2022 as a member of the Blue Jays. He pitched one scoreless inning and recorded two strikeouts.

Growing up, he lived with his family in Johnstown, New York.

He and Kevin Gausman have both pitched for the Toronto Blue Jays .
