ABOUT MATTHEW BATTEN

Professional second baseman and middle infielder that was drafted by the San Diego Padres during the 32nd round of the 2017 Major League Draft. He was drafted out of Quinnipiac University . While at Quinnipiac, he was twice named to the All-MAAC Conference team.

He graduated from St. Joseph's Private High School in 2013. While there, he played baseball, football and basketball.

He made his official major league debut playing against the Los Angeles Dodgers on June 30, 2022. He entered the game as a defensive substitute.

He grew up living with his family in Shelton, Connecticut. He has a sister named Brittney.

As a child, he once played at the Little League World Series just like Cody Bellinger .
