ABOUT MATTHEW CRABB
Known for his chainsaw-carved wooden sculptures, this British artist is particularly famous for works such as "Duelling Dinosaurs – Raptor v. Brachiasaurus" and a nine-meter-tall wooden statue of the Virgin Mary.
He originally intended to become a graphic artist; however, a manual labor day job convinced him to experiment with using chainsaws in the creation of art.
He created several wildlife-themed artworks for Dorset, England's Abbotsbury Sub-Tropical Gardens.
He grew up in Dorset, South West England, and later settled in nearby Exmoor.
He and Oregon native Griffon Ramsey both became famous for their works of chainsaw art.
