ABOUT MATTHEW LYNCH

Writer, activist and teacher who became known as the owner of the online education magazines The Edvocate and The Tech Edvocate. He has also worked as the Dean of the School of Education, Psychology & Interdisciplinary Studies at Virginia Union University.

He received his bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi and his master's and PhD in education from Jackson State University .

He's authored numerous books including 2014's The Call to Teach: An Introduction to Teaching and 2017's Understanding Key Education Issues: How We Got Here and Where We Go from Here.

He was born in Hazlehurst, Mississippi and later moved to the Richmond, Virginia area.

He rose to prominence as both an educator and writer, just like Max Rafferty .
