ABOUT MATTHEW MACFADYEN

Award-winning actor who gained prominence for his role in Pride & Prejudice . His other notable films include Frost/Nixon and Death at a Funeral. He later became known for his role as Tom Wambsgans in the HBO hit series Succession .

He became well known for acting in theater due to his work with the company Cheek by Jowl.

He starred in Spooks, a hugely popular series on BBC One. In 2017, he played Henry Wilcox in the mini-series Howards End.

He married Spooks co-star Keeley Hawes in 2004 and has two children.

He was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for his role in the 2008 film, Frost/Nixon, which starred Frank Langella .
