ABOUT MATTHEW REYNOLDS

Professional middle infielder and utilityman that was originally drafted by the New York Mets during the second round of the 2012 Major League Draft. He was drafted out of the University of Arkansas . During his professional career, he has played in the Washington Nationals , Kansas City Royals , Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Reds minor league farm systems.

He played collegiate baseball at Arkansas from 2010 until 2012. Prior to college, he attended Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

He is also known by some for having the nickname Rey Rey.

He is a native of the Tulsa, Oklahoma area. His father is Gary Reynolds. He and his wife Samantha welcomed a son together in 2021.

He was both high school and college teammates with Dallas Keuchel .
