ABOUT MAUREEN LIPMAN
British actress who appeared in the 2002 film The Pianist and the 1983 film Educating Rita.
She went to Newland School for Girls in Hull while growing up in England and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
She received the title of honorary doctorate from the University of Hull in 1994.
She was married to Jack Rosenthal from 1974 until his death in 2004, and they had two children.
She had a role in Roman Polanski 's award-winning film The Pianist in 2002.
