Though he played the series regular role of Vaughn Lerner in the 1990s television series Alright Already and also appeared in numerous episodes of Homeland, this actor is best known for his movie roles as Rafferty and Lester Tremor in, respectively, Beverly Hills Chihuahua and Smokin' Aces.

Early in his career, he appeared in episodes of Boy Meets World, Boston Common, and Picket Fences.

He acted in two episodes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and in five episodes of ER.

Born Charles Maury Wallace Sterling, he grew up in Mill Valley, California.

He appeared in the pilot episode of the Shonda Rhimes series Gilded Lillys.
