Max Montoya
ABOUT MAX MONTOYA
Retired guard who spent 16 seasons as an active player for the National Football League. He played college football for UCLA . He took part in the 1979 NFL Draft and was selected during the seventh round. He went on to play for the Cincinnati Bengals and the now-defunct Los Angeles Raiders.
He played football at La Puente High School in La Puente, California. He had a heart murmur that prevented him from playing during his senior year.
After retirement, he became a restaurateur. He stands at 6 feet 5 inches.
He was born in Montebello, California. He is of Mexican descent. He has a son named Matthew and a daughter named Alison.
Terry Donahue was his coach at UCLA.
