Maxime Bernier

ABOUT MAXIME BERNIER

Canadian politician, attorney and business executive who began serving as the Member of Parliament for the riding of Beauce in 2006. Previously, he was the Minister of Industry, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Small Business and Tourism.

He earned a bachelor of commerce degree from Université du Québec à Montréal and a law degree from the University of Ottawa.

He is the founder and head of the People's Party of Canada.

His father Gilles was a successful radio host and his mother's name is Doris. He was married to Caroline Chauvin from 1991-2005.

He held cabinet positions during the reign of Prime Minister Stephen Harper .
