ABOUT MAZI SMITH

NFL defensive lineman that was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys as a first-round pick in 2023. He previously played college football at the University of Michigan. Following his 2022 season, he was named a member of the first team All-Big Ten.

He was considered a four-star prospect while at East Kentwood High School. As a senior, he was invited to play in the 2019 Under Armour All-American Game.

Besides football, he also has a passion for creating social justice initiatives. His grandfather, Carl, worked at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights and also ran a newspaper company named The Organizer.

He grew up living with his parents in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area.

He was coached by Jim Harbaugh while at Michigan.
