ABOUT MEL STREET
Country singer who released his debut album, Borrowed Angel, in 1972 and went on to release many more throughout the 1970s. His song "Lovin' On Back Streets" peaked at #5 on the US Country chart.
He started performing on radio stations when he was sixteen years old and also worked as a radio tower electrician in Ohio.
He hosted his own show from 1968 to 1972 that aired on a West Virginia television station.
He grew up in a coal mining family.
