Played Mary on the beloved show Little House on the Prairie from 1974 to 1984 and appeared in the 1981 film Happy Birthday to Me. She is also known for film role Vivian in the film Midnight Offerings.
She had a small role in The Brady Bunch.
She briefly dated Renegade star Lorenzo Lamas . She published an autobiographical titled, "The Way I See It: A Look Back at My Life on Little House" in 2010.
She married Michael Sloan in 1990, with whom she has two children, Piper and Griffin.
She was in the drama Far North with Jessica Lange .
