ABOUT MELISSA AUF DER MAUR
Singer-songwriter who was a touring member of The Smashing Pumpkins from 1999 until 2000, when she went off to explore her solo career. She also previously played with the bands Tinker and Hole.
She studied photography at Concordia University and subsequently joined the indie rock band Tinker in 1993.
Also a photographer, she has had here photos in Nylon and National Geographic and exhibited at Sotheby's.
She spent some of her childhood in Kenya with her mother. She married indie filmmaker Tony Stone. They had a daughter in 2011.
She and Billy Corgan have collaborated musically.
