ABOUT MICHAEL CARNEY
Famous as the art director for the multi-Grammy-winning rock band The Black Keys, he received a 2011 Grammy Award for Best Recording Package for his cover art for the group's 2010 album Brothers.
He trained at Ohio's Columbus College of Art and Design.
Apart from his work with The Black Keys, he showcased his work as a sculptor and photographer.
His brother, drummer Patrick Carney , founded The Black Keys with vocalist and guitarist Dan Auerbach in 2001. The children of Jim Carney and Mary Stormer, the Carney brothers spent their early years in Akron, Ohio.
He and Alex Pardee are both known for their album artwork (Pardee created album covers for the band The Used).
