ABOUT MICHAEL CRAWFORD
British actor and singer best known for his role as Frank Spencer in the British sitcom Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, as well as for originating the role of The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. As a stage actor, he played Charlie Gordon in Flowers for Algernon and appeared in The Wizard in The Wizard of Oz.
He sang in his preparatory school's choir.
He is an active philanthropist, and became the president of the Sick Children's Trust in 1987.
He married actress Gabrielle Lewis in Paris in 1965. He has two daughters named Emma and Lucy.
He played the role of Cornelius Hackl in the film Hello, Dolly! which starred Barbra Streisand .
