ABOUT MICHAEL KING

Professional reliever that was drafted by the Miami Marlins during the 12th round of the 2016 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the New York Yankees via trade in November 2021. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Boston College .

He initially began his professional career playing for the GCL Marlins. He was later sent to the Batavia Muckdogs.

He made his official major league debut pitching against the Texas Rangers on September 27, 2019 as a member of the Yankees. He pitched two scorless innings and recorded one strikeout.

He grew up the youngest of two siblings in Rochester, New York. He has been in a relationship with Sheila Hill.

He recorded his first MLB strikeout facing Shin-Soo Choo during his debut.
