Michael Mallin
ABOUT MICHAEL MALLIN
Irish socialist who became known for his role in the 1916 Easter Rising, and was Chief Training Officer of the Irish Citizen Army.
He was a drummer boy in the British army and served several years in India.
He was executed by firing squad in May 1916.
He and his wife Agnes had five children: three boys and two girls.
He was second in command of the Irish Citizen Army under James Connolly .
