Veteran reliever that has pitched within the Minnesota Twins , Texas Rangers , Milwaukee Brewers , Arizona Diamondbacks , Atlanta Braves , New York Mets and New York Yankees organizations. In 2021, he played baseball professionally for the Toros de Tijuana of the Mexican League. He has also played for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of the Japanese NBP league as well.

He initially began his professional baseball career with the GCL Twins rookie affiliate team. After six games, he was then promoted.

He is a huge food fanatic. During the off-season, he loves to cook food on the grill.

He lives along with his wife, Becky, and their family. His brother-in-law is former MLB player Jason Kubel .

He was selected during the 2008 MLB Draft just like Buster Posey .
