ABOUT MICHEL VERNE
The son of legendary adventure novelist Jules Verne , he oversaw the publication of his father's late novels and wrote several works of his own. Michel Verne's published works include La Destinee de Jean Morenas and A Great Transatlantic Subway.
Ignoring his father's objections to the relationship, he caused a public scandal through his sudden marriage to a well-known actress. Adding insult to injury, he quickly left his actress wife for a sixteen-year-old lover.
He may have written some of the late-career works attributed to his father.
His father, Jules Verne , wrote such classics as Journey to the Center of the Earth and Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
Like Alexandre Dumas, Jr. , he toiled largely in the shadow of his more famous father.
