Knots Landing fans came to know her as Karen Fairgate McKenzie from Knots Landing. Her acting earned her an Emmy Award nomination.

She started acting on Broadway the age of 18.

She co-starred with Dean Jones in The Love Bug.

She married James Farentino in 1966. The couple had a son in 1969 and divorced in 1983.

In 1969, she starred in The Comic with Dick Van Dyke .
