ABOUT MIGNON G. EBERHART
An American mystery writer with a career that spanned over sixty years, she is particularly known for novels such as While the Patient Slept, Danger in the Dark, and The White Cockatoo. Eight of her novels, including Hasty Wedding, were made into films.
She briefly attended Nebraska Wesleyan University. She published her first novel, Patient in Room 18, in 1929.
She is considered one of the founders of the modern romantic suspense genre.
She was married three times. After divorcing her second husband in 1948, she married former U.S. Navy officer, Alanson Clyde Eberhart.
She received the Agatha Award, an honor named for writer Agatha Christie .
