ABOUT MIGUEL ORTIZ BERROCAL

Spanish sculptor known best for his Opus series of sculptures. He was made a Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture.

As a boy, he made his own toys with recycled materials, even painting them himself.

Many of his pieces are derived from mathematics and science.

He married Maria Cristina Blais of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Braganza and they had two sons.

He had his portrait done by Andy Warhol .
