ABOUT MIKAELA DAVIS
Singer, songwriter and harpist known for her band Mikaela Davis and Southern Star. She is a classically-trained harpist known for playing rock music. She has toured with the folk group, The Staves.
She started taking harp and piano lessons at age eight. She studied the harp at Crane School of Music in Potsdam, New York. She planned to join a symphony.
Her album Delivery was produced by Grammy-winner John Congleton. He has produced artists including St. Vincent , Angel Olsen and David Byrne .
She grew up in Rochester, New York. She was raised by her mother and grandmother. Her father moved to California when she was 11. She dated her tour manager Cameron Dean.
She was inspired by artists including Neil Young , Carole King , John Lennon , Aretha Franklin and Melody Prochet .
