Award-winning journalist who made a name for himself as a technology reporter for The New York Times. Previously, he worked as a senior social media editor for Re/Code and AllThingsD and was a staff writer for WIRED.

He earned his degree in English literature from UC Berkeley .

He authored the 2019 book Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber.

He moved from Fort Worth, Texas to the San Francisco Bay Area.

He wrote about the rise and fall of entrepreneur Travis Kalanick in his first book.
