ABOUT MIKE MCGILL
Professional skateboarder best known as the inventor of the McTwist, an inverted 540 degree mute grab aerial. He is also well known as a member of Powell Peralta's Bones Brigade. He later went on to launch the now-defunct skate company Chapter Seven.
He rocketed to fame in 1984 in Sweden after he successfully performed the McTwist.
In 2012, he opened his own skate shop called McGills Skateshop in Encinitas, California. He also has a line of skateboarding equipment sold through Walmart.
He and his wife Julie have given birth to two sons and one daughter.
Both he and Rodney Mullen worked as stunt doubles for Christian Slater in the 1989 film Gleaming the Cube.
