ABOUT MIKE SHANNON
Third baseman who won World Series titles with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1964 and 1967. He played with the team from 1962 until 1970. He accumulated a batting average of .255.
He played at the University of Missouri before making his MLB debut with the Cardinals in 1962.
He went on to become an Emmy Award-winning broadcaster for the St. Louis Cardinals after concluding his playing career. He retired from broadcasting in 2021.
He and his late wife Judy Shannon had six children: Erin, Timothy, Daniel, Patricia, Peg, and Michael.
He did color commentary with Jack Buck on AM radio.
