Country singer and comedienne who always wore a $1.98 price tag on her hat and who appeared on Hee Haw from 1969 to 1991. She published books, including a cookbook.
After graduating from Ward-Belmont College, she taught dance for years. She went on to work for the Wayne P. Sewell Production Company.
She was on Grand Ole Opry for more than fifty years.
She married Henry Cannon on February 23, 1947.
Her husband, Henry Cannon, took over her air charter service and included clients such as Elvis Presley .
