ABOUT MORARI BAPU

Hindu religious leader who is known for his modern approach to the teachings. He has a large online presence, with over 900,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel Chitrakutdham Talgajarda.

He began reciting Ram Katha under the guidance and encouragement of his grandfather when he was fourteen years old. His YouTube account was created on May 20, 2009.

He has recited more than 900 kathas from the Ramcharitmanas over the last 60 years. He is also a big proponent of philanthropy, and has raised money for cancer and kidney patients, as well as helped out free hospitals. In addition, he has gone out of his way to preach acceptance for often marginalized groups, including dalits, transgender people, and sex workers.

His parents were Prabhudas and Savitriben Hariyani. He belongs to the Vaishnav Bava Sadhu Nimbarka lineage and spent much of his childhood under the care of his grandfather, guru Tribhovandas Dada.
