Screenwriter and CEO of Merlion Entertainment. In 2005, he was the recipient of the Best Screenplay jury prize at Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.
He obtained his degree in Journalism from St. John's University .
He was the 1993 United States National Scholastic Chess Champion and he was one of the subjects of the 1996 documentary Chess Kids.
His father, Kalev Pehme, was a famous journalist.
He and actor Ron Silver both studied at St. John's University.
