Morrie Schwartz

ABOUT MORRIE SCHWARTZ

American author of Letting Go: Morrie's Reflections on Living While Dying. He was also the subject of Tuesdays with Morrie, a successful book-turned-film.

He graduated from City College in New York. He subsequently published several scholarly works on psychological and sociological topics.

He taught sociology at Brandeis University for thirty years.

He had two sons, Rob and Jon, with his wife Charlotte Schwartz.

He was interviewed by Ted Koppel on the popular television program, Nightline.
