Otherwise known as the One Pound Fish Man, he's a singer who rose to fame for his viral single "One Pound Fish" composed while he was working at a pound shop in East London. He later appeared on the X Factor, earning himself a record deal with Warner Music.
He grew up listening to Bollywood and Punjabi music. In school, he would sing religious songs at assemblies.
The music video for "One Pound Fish" was in the running for Christmas Number One on the UK singles charts. His musical fame has helped him gain over 120,000 subscribers on YouTube.
He was born in Pattoki, Pakistan. He and his wife Kashifa gave birth to four children.
His song "One Pound Fish" has been covered by stars like Timbaland and Alesha Dixon .
