ABOUT MUHAMMAD ZAIDAN
Palestinian leader who founded the Palestinian Liberation Front in 1977. His movement received support from both the PLO and the Fatah movement.
He attended the University of Damascus.
In 1985 he masterminded the hijacking of the Italian cruise ship Achille Lauro and he died while in American custody after being captured in 2003.
He was born in a Syrian refugee camp to Palestinian parents.
He was a political ally of Yasser Arafat .
