ABOUT MUMTAZ ALI
Indian dancer and actor in Hindu cinema. He is known for films including Chhote Nawab (1961), Mastana (1970), and Immaan Dharam (1977). He is also known for being in the dance group called Mumtaz Ali Nites, which performed all over India.
He made his acting debut in 1936 with the film Janmabhoomi.
His song "Main to Dilli se Dulhan laya re", from the 1942 film Jhula, became incredibly popular to play at Indian weddings.
He was married to Latif-un-nisa Ali and had eight children.
His last film, Kunwara Baap, was released in 1974 and was based on the Charlie Chaplin movie, The Kid.
