Bosnian Renaissance poet whose early twentieth- century literary work is characterized by mysticism and eroticism. His best-known works are Sabrana dijela and Pjesme od godine.
He studied in his youth to become a barber. Later, he attended law school in Zagreb.
He served in the Austro-Hungarian Army from 1899 until 1902.
He was born and raised in Odzak, Bosnia. He died of tuberculosis at the age of thirty-seven.
Catic and Aleksa Santic were fellow Bosnian poets.
