ABOUT NAKEEYAT
Instagram star who is a Ghanaian poet and child prodigy. Her advocacy for climate change is well known to her 270,000 followers on her nakeeyat Instagram page. Her full name is Nakeeyat Dramani Sam.
In 2022, she won the 10th season of the TV show Talented Kidz. She also won a CVF Thematic Ambassador for Youth award, which recognized her advocacy in promoting climate change, especially for the younger generation.
Speaking three different languages, Hausa, Fanti, and English, allows her to perform her poetry in any of these languages. Sometimes she is referred to as Poet Nakeeyat.
She is from Ajumako, a small community in Ghana. She lives with her parents and has three younger siblings.
Being compared to another youth climate change activist, like Greta Thunberg , is natural. They are both advocating for climate change as young environmental activists.
