Guitarist for MUNA , a band consisting of three queer people. McPherson is nonbinary and goes by they/them pronouns. Much of their work is inspired by the documentary The Decline of Western Civilization. They began their musical training at an early age. McPherson shares their whereismuna Instagram with their bandmates.

They and their bandmates met in school and became friends before forming their group.

They describe themselves as a dark pop band because many of their topics deal with the darker side of life. On Instagram, they post group photos, musical performances, and info on upcoming projects. Their music and content have helped them attract 350,000 followers.
