American defender who won an MLS Cup with Real Salt Lake in 2009. He joined Real Salt Lake in 2008 after spending three years with Norway's Odd Grenland.
He played college soccer at the University of Denver from 1999 to 2002.
He began his MLS career with the Colorado Rapids in 2003, appearing in 83 games across 3 seasons.
He was born to Debbie and Phil Borchers.
He joined midfielder Landon Donovan on the United States national team in 2005.
