Early in her career, she appeared in episodes of Family Matters and Built to Last.
While attending Grambling State University in her native Louisiana, she participated in numerous college theatrical productions.
She and her husband, Leonard Reid, are parents to two children. She passed away in December 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer.
She was a series regular on hip-hop star Eve 's TV series Eve.
