Nicknamed The Galaxxy Warrior, former unified WBA, IBF and WBO lightweight champion. He compiled a career record of 36-11-1.
He had an amateur record of 30-5 before trying out for the American Olympic Boxing Team.
He came out of retirement in 2011 and beat Mermelada Cayo via 9-round TKO.
He married and had children with Coco Campbell.
He lost to Victor Ortiz at Madison Square Garden in May 2010.
