ABOUT NEIL PATERSON
Academy Award winning screenwriter in the category of Adapted Screenplay for his script of Room at the Top. He also wrote novels and short stories.
His writing career started in sports journalism for D.C. Thomson.
He wrote a number of other screenplays including Mon on a Tightrope, High Tide at Noon, and The Spiral Road.
He was born in Greenock and died in Crieff, Scotland.
One of his earlier screenplays titled Devil on Horseback starred Googie Withers in the lead role.
