Neil Simpson

ABOUT NEIL SIMPSON

Retired midfielder who spent most of his professional career with Aberdeen and led the team to three consecutive Scottish Cups from 1981 to 1984.

He grew up playing with Middlefield Wasps before joining Aberdeen in 1980.

He had five caps with the Scottish National team between 1983 and 1988. He also played with Newcastle and Motherwell.

Although born in London, he grew up in Newmachar, Scotland.

He played under the great Alex Ferguson early in his career with Aberdeen.
