Grandmother and maternal figure of Olympic gymnast Simone Biles , one of the most decorated gymnasts in U.S. history. During the 2024 Summer Olympics, she opened up about Simone's mental stress earlier in her career.

She adopted Simone at the age of 6 and the gymnast eventually started calling her mom.

Her daughter Shanon is Simone's biological mom and struggled with both drug and alcohol addiction.

She married Ronald Biles , whom she met in college in San Antonio.

She also raised Simone's sister Adria .
