ABOUT NETO ZAMPIER
Center back who has risen to fame for his Brazilian club career, including for Chapecoense beginning in 2015. He helped lead the squad to the 2016 Copa Sudamericana title. He is one of the survivors of the 2016 Chapecoense plane crash.
He played his youth soccer for Francisco Beltrão in the 2003-2004 and 2005-2006 seasons. He made his professional debut with the senior squad in 2006.
He won the Campeonato Catarinense title in 2016. He played for Santos in 2013-2014.
He and his wife Simone share two children named Helan and Helem.
He and Alan Ruschel have played as teammates for Chapecoense.
