ABOUT NICHOLAS IHUA-MADUENYI

Best known as PsychoYP, he is a popular rap artist and songwriter who is most recognized by his songs 'Bando Diaries" and "Naija Funk." Due to his innovation, he is often referred to as "The Fresh Prince of Nigerian Rap." In 2023, he received two nominations at The Headies Hip Hop Awards in Nigeria.

He first discovered his passion for music as a young boy coming up. He later began his professional music career as a teenager in 2017.

His rap name "YP" is short for Yung Papi." He credits Michael Jackson as being one of his biggest music influences.

He grew up living with his family in Abuja, Nigeria. He is one of three siblings.

In addition to Michael Jackson, he also credits Drake and Lil Wayne as being some of his favorite music artists.
