ABOUT NICHOLAS TAYLOR

One-time leader of the Alberta Liberal Party. He served on the Canadian Senate from 1996 until 2002.

Prior to entering politics in 1968, he worked as a geologist.

He was credited with sparking the resurgence of the Liberal Party in Alberta by implementing initiatives like the National Energy Program.

He was born in Bow Island, Alberta, Canada.

He was appointed to the Canadian Senate by Prime Minister Jean Chretien .
